After a mostly cloudy evening with more easterly muck drifting in from off the North Sea at times, a total of 4.7 hours of sunshine was recorded in the end at Edinburgh Gogarbank which is rather disappointing when you consider what the previous two days were like.
Today's maximum temperature was 21.0ºC at Edinburgh Gogarbank, 17ºC at Edinburgh Airport and 17.6ºC at the botanic gardens in Edinburgh so that it was a much cooler day than yesterday, even at Edinburgh Gogarbank where it still managed to get fairly warm today.
Meanwhile, the temperature at 10pm tonight was 12.4ºC at Edinburgh Gogarbank, 12ºC at Edinburgh Airport and 12.8ºC at the botanic gardens in Edinburgh.
The north of Edinburgh, usually always missing out on snow events which occur not just within the rest of Scotland or the UK, but also within the rest of Edinburgh.
