Those dreaded easterlies are back and just as I predicted last night, so is that easterly muck which has now come in from off the North Sea during the night. That has once again led to the skies over Edinburgh returning to their more typical colour of grey as this morning has started off on a very soul destroying and depressing note with yet another grey, misty and overcast nothingness that has resulted in nothing in the way of sunshine having been recorded for today so far at Edinburgh Gogarbank as at 8am this morning.

It is also nowhere near as warm as it was at this time yesterday either. Overnight minimum temperatures were 10.9ºC at Edinburgh Gogarbank, 10ºC at Edinburgh Airport and 11.1ºC at the botanic gardens in Edinburgh.

Meanwhile, the temperature at 8am this morning was 12.3ºC at Edinburgh Gogarbank, 12ºC at Edinburgh Airport and 11.3ºC at the botanic gardens in Edinburgh.

Another fine and sunny morning with temperatures already reaching 20 C with 73% H. Even though it is bone dry and I'm not experiencing the real heat of inland (tend to be cooler and fresher on the coast), the hideously swampy genitalia season is now well underway where I'm getting through talcum powder at an alarming rate.

The Sun has broken through with a total of 2.1 hours of sunshine having been recorded for today so far at Edinburgh Gogarbank as at 12 noon. However, the Sun is also shining through a layer of cirrostratus cloud which is probably likely to further limit the amount of actual recorded sunshine later on, especially as we get towards sunset.

It is also nowhere near as warm as it was yesterday but there is quite a wide variation in the temperatures between my three local stations and so, the temperature at 12 noon was 19.1ºC at Edinburgh Gogarbank, 17ºC at Edinburgh Airport and 15.4ºC at the botanic gardens in Edinburgh.
