Interesingly that shows rain here (Gatwick) but it’s definitely a wintry mix still, sometimes mostly sleet and snow.

All snow here and has been for a while, it's also settled on favoured surfaces, albeit a thin slushy covering. I guess that slight altitude difference, makes a huge difference!

Had a period of quite heavy snow here although it`s eased off now. It didn`t settle though on the wet ground. Temperature has taken a dive from 1.9C earlier to 1.2C now.

I think the buildings also make a difference, normally 0.5 - 1.5c warmer in central Kingston than surrounding open areas at Ham Common, Richmond Park and Bushey Park

From what you say, I might have seen some snow had I been at work in Fetcham.  But it has been rain with bits of sleet in the rain for last 6 hours here in North Kingston.  Temp has gone up and down between 1.8c to 2.5c during the rain

Ended up with a good covering here, but thawed quickly once it turned to rain. It was snowing heavily in Fetcham, but not settling! I think where I live must have been right on the boundary, Fetcham just a little too low to settle......

It has been snowing quite heavily here for the last hour or so, which has produced quite a decent covering. The snow has eased off for a while, but it looks as though it could come on really heavy again at any time. With these conditions, there has been nothing in the way of sunshine recorded for today so far at Edinburgh Gogarbank, and it is unlikely that there will be either.

The temperature at around midday reached a peak of 1.6°C at Edinburgh Gogarbank, 2°C at Edinburgh Airport and 2.0°C at the botanic gardens in Edinburgh. Those are unlikely to be today's maximum temperatures as the temperature will no doubt, climb to well above those values once the milder air arrives.

However, the temperature has since dropped back to 0.5°C at Edinburgh Gogarbank, 0°C at Edinburgh Airport and 0.7°C at the botanic gardens in Edinburgh, so there are no signs of that milder air arriving just yet.
