I fully agree Joe. You have been very kind and extremely supportive over recent months Caz, so thank you for that. However we choose remember Dougie, we will remember him and I think that is the most important thing.

He made a long lasting and positive impression on many people on here, myself included. I think his legacy on TWO will be there regardless of whether in the end we have a thread with his name on it or not. Thanks to Caz and so many others for their contribution here. Although it has been hard to know what to say at times, as words don’t often “make it better”, it has been really good to be able to share and understand with others.

I've got this mental doodle image of Dougie sitting on his very own cumulus cloud chuckling to himself.

Either or, he won't be easily forgotten.

I read this thread from time to time to check in on Dougies progress, but I could never articulate how I felt in a post. But, he was dignified and resolute to the end. A tremendously brave man. Caz, you have nothing to feel guilty about. You was a big help to him, that was obvious. He appreciated your help, coaxing him into updating the thread and everybody else adding their comments making sure he did not feel alone. RIP Dougie

RIP Dougie. Gone but not forgotten.

Very very sad to hear of dougie passing 😔 I don't call in here much anymore but wanted to comment on this post. Gutted that I don't think he managed to see it but am comforted that he has seen how many posts have bee made and how much this community thought of him. R.I.P. Dougie. An absolute battler til the end xx

Thank you David. I’d looked for that the other day but couldn’t find it. Now I have, thanks to your instructions.

Darren sums up very nicely!  Especially that Dougie was unassuming. He was exactly that. Right to the end.

RIP Dougie!  X

Did the poll results mean we don't have Dougie's current conditions anymore? :(

I know he was an unassuming guy and didn't like being fussed over but I hope we can leave him with a legacy of some sort on here, in addition to this thread 🙂

Thank you Ian.  I’ll be thinking of Dougie on that day and will be with him in spirit, as I’m sure others will.
