Pretty constant for the past few days but I think there will be a slight fall now. Hopefully there will be an adjustment down to 16.8c.

How ironic that the intensity of the hot spell was what derailed the month for me... not that a 0.6*C error is all that bad, but still

In fact it was 16.86C. I'll take that extra 0.04!

Does that mean my 16.85 is the closest?

Aye, well done those who said 16.85c

My 17.1c was a little out on account of the plume arriving later than expected

Just checked, and 16.8 is what I went for, too!

How very lucky of me

Here is the list of predictions for July. As already noted well done to roger63 and rickm who were just 0.01C out.

Here are the charts for July. Overall a fairly average month. We managed to end up just above average due to a brief hot spell on the 19th and 20th. We managed to break the CET date record on the 20th with a mean of 23.5C. Previous record was 22.9C in 1878.

My own data points this month are blank as I did not have time to do my own tracking of the CET mean. Normal service will be resumed in August.

Annual CET competition - July update

Here are the tables for July. No change at the top as Frank H keeps the lead for a second month. Some significant climbers near the top of the table with Rob K and rickm both climbing by double digit numbers of places this month. Generally things are still very close throughout the top 30 places so lots will change between now and the end of the year.

I love the cumulative errors chart- shows at a glance where I messed up (April) and did good (May). Thanks for this GW.

Thanks for the update Simon, something has gone wrong with the radar for me this year. I hope you are feeling fighting fit again now.
