Well the Met Office contingency planners forecast suggests the temperature probabilities for July are basically in line with the long run average

16.9C for me.

The initial heatwave will flatter to deceive. Chances of another one in July are low in my view. Not to say we won't see some very pleasant weather at times but overall a fairly average month.

Hot start, but I'm guessing more or less average after that.

16's - Warm (average)

The coldest July on record is 1816 with a CET of 13.4C - imagine that.

The coldest summer on record was 1725 and the July CET in that summer was 13.8C
