Hey Rich. Absolutely spot on. The banter is what it is all about 👍 No, there are several conspiracy theories from the usual lazy journalists from the gutter press today. Coppell has said himself that he didn't leave for any reasons to do with finances or players. He just didn't have any heart in it. Basically with injuries, suspensions and the start we've had coupled with the fact he admits he hates working away from his home (See the Man City saga) it was too much for this weak minded, jelly legged, man who clearly has emotional/mental issues. He cited this for his Man City exit. Personally every single ounce of respect I once had for him has gone. Every ounce. I now despise the man and pity him at the same time. He needs help

Damn. I've got a couple of quid on him to go to some average Prem League team. Could have been Spurs, but I think it was Fulham, given the Hughes connection.

Just said on Sky Sports News that Cardiff have released a statement flatly denying the Bellamy rumours.

Of course they may be doing this to prevent a bigger club scuppering the deal at the last minute.

This would be very similar to the David James scenario. It fits for logistical reasons

Oh please, please Craig, go to Cardiff.

Yeah, he hasn't signed for them at all. He may do, of course, but he hasn't yet.

Everton and Fulham believe they will actually sign him instead.

Cover your eyes Merc because Spurs is mentioned too

Don't get me wrong, I like Bellamy as a player, especially for his attitude. I just don't think he would fit in at Spurs from a footballing standpoint. Given his age too, he wouldn't have much of a resale value. I'm surprised Levy has even entertained the idea of signing him because he tends to look at a player's resale value first and foremost - hence age is an important consideration. Harry must have done a good bullshining job.

TBH, I'm surprised Robby Keane is still there. But that's a matter for another thread.

Oooh, my bet is still on then?

That Spurs defender the Mirror said we'd signed (FACT) appears to have got lost on the M1, by the way

I'm not on about the links to the club. My dead nan is aware of that. You told us last night, unequivocally, that he had signed. He hasn't 😕

You lied to us Tricky 😢 Why, Tricky? Why? After all we've been through 😢 SSN saying he's gone back to train with Man City now. His days there are over. Rightfully so after his characteristic juvenile rant the other day. Where he goes now is anyones guess. I get the feeling he's using the media to get himself the deal he wants and it's working

For some reason, all references to Southampton in the football supplement in today's Sun have been replaced with "South coast team.

Maybe a Portsmouth fan's idea of a joke.

BBC Gossip this morning reporting that Leeds are after signing Darius Vassell.

I hear his time at that Turkish Sunday League team wasn't a great success, so not sure what he'd offer back in the English Championship. Although I was surprised to read he's still only 30 years old.

I know - I saw that too. I don't know whether you laughed, but I certainly did.

I think you'll find it's his agent pushing his name around. Vassell has been linked with about 9 clubs this summer including us. Two reports said we were discussing terms with him, but the management came out and said we certainly weren't. Yeah, I though he was older than that too

If this story has any legs on it I think Leeds Utd fans should be scared. Very, very scared. Would Ken be so daft? Who knows.

If true, I certainly don't think I'll have any need to draft that letter to Ken asking that the PL money be handed back.

Tricky, looks like your mate can officially announce it again 😝 Although it pains me to say it I agree with Redknapp. It's a cut of your nose to spite your face move and a waste of talent going to Cardiff. Good signing for them though providing he doesn't throw a strop over something (as if) Another rumour (just a rumour again) that the Malaysians are prepared to pay £40k of his wages per week. If this is true then they're pretty poor businessmen. Cardiff owe millions to so many people including various other football clubs, yet their owners feel it is more important to settle the weekly wage of a petulant little nob first. One would hope the inland revenue has noted this misplaced priority, not to mention the other clubs that are still owed money by this train wreck of a club. I'm sure it will make good evidence in court at the next hearing. It is just a rumour though. If true it is another staggering example of how it's one rule for one and one for another. I'm sure the likes of Palace and Pompey's ears will prick up at this, and the various clubs Cardiff owe a fortune to will be knocking at the door demanding what they are due 😂

You can read all about it here. However, I have spotted numerous typos in this piece.

I doubt Bellamy really said "wrth ei fodd yn dod yn ôl adre i Gaerdydd. "Rwyf hefyd yn edrych ymlaen yn eiddgar i wisgo'r crys y clwb rwyf wedi ei gefnogi ers yn fachgen."

But if he did, I bet he spat all over the interviewer in the process
