I saw a graph from Twitter that had every year since 1945. https://x.com/SnowbieWx/status/2077335147448283555?s=20
1980: 0
1981: 0
1982: 4
1983: 14
1984: 8
1985: 1
1986: 5
1987: 2
1988: 1
1989: 11
Total: 46.Â
The 1960s only managed 25 in the entire decade - so we've already had more this year than in the whole of the 1960s! The 1970s had 60. The 2020s have already had 105, as of today, which beats the previous decade record holder, the 1990s (with 104), and we're only two thirds of the way through the decade.
