A fair amount of high cloud has moved in helping to bring the temperature down a little from the earlier +30C. Still feeling humid though.

Looks like 30.6 is the highest official figure, carrying on the 0.1C climb from yesterday.

How about Oxford being in the middle south Midlands didn't get a 30C or something?

Today looks likely to be the last 30C day of this spell. GFS has a couple of very cool days right at the end of the month which would spoil the monthly CET, but it is one of the cooler runs.

Yesterday's reading from Preston Cove House (Weymouth) was only 30.2C so no advance on the Merryfield figure.

19 C in Edinburgh, should reach 20-21 C today

Interestingly the MetO app has Edinburgh at 24 C on Sunday & Tuesday and 21-22 C for the rest of the week, so continuing warm for here 😎

It's a highly unusual period of weather and probably (though it would need research to verify) the hottest stretch in South Wales's recorded history.  Possibly 2006 or 1995 but I don't recall the day time maxes being so consistently high for so long.

30.2C on my wall thermometer at 1300, and over the last few days it's been lagging the hottest official reporting points by up to 0.5C. It's now (1400) back down to 29.6 as some cloud has developed.

A fair bit of cloud around this afternoon compared to recent which is helping to keep a cap on the temperature. Still not hit 30C today here albeit we have been very close.
