😂😂Slopes clocked me at 52.6mph which isn't bad for someone of my age. 

If the models did not exist we would be seeing similar to Lapland by now like -9C at 10am here in the morning, some snow flurries after the heavy snow in the last few days.  London would be -6C and in Kent where Retron is at -10 to -11C after our over night lows sub -15C in the midlands, -10c in London and -15C inland Kent to -12C over the coastal areas.

Thanks models for ruining our winter and will not forgive you at all.

All models are crap and Scrooge for UK. It got a lot worse this year.  If a model is was good as the past non models days by now it would been cold and snowy.  Their push back offensive got a lot worse as the landing date was supposed to be 21st and deep cold should be here now.   

*I know it has been a different story in parts (only parts) of the north, with heavy snow being recorded.

The Atlantic has too much juice these days. I'll leave it to the experts to explain why but we missed out on numerous Easterly shots thanks to the jet being too strong.

Yes no sign of zonality to return that often bring nice sunny weather in between, decent frosts during northerly outbreaks.  Temperatures a bit more variation with frosty night temps down to -5C to 13-14c on mild days than this less cold nights, and less cold day time to average.

Sooner than later this horrible non-weather pattern to break up at some point in Feb. 

just infuriating the scandi block hasnt  been able to move further sw ,but no ,stuck for like weeks now.

I have Kent and Surrey weather book and oh how nice Kent used to get the most snowfalls and deep covering most winters from the book recortds that cover up to latest edition to 1990.  They did well without the models around that always ruin our chances and preventing us from anything interesting pattern.

My conservatory did not exceed 20.0c in Jan only 19.9C the highest when we had one day sunshine last week, last year Jan was 23.3C and couple of 20C days due to zonality pattern after the early cold start. 

The models predict the weather, they don't cause it!

I've got the Kent book too and even as a 10-year old (back in 1990) I was wowed by some of the winters they had back then - 1987 came close, but of course the real greats like 1962 and 1947 were several steps above that. I guess it's been a pattern since before I was born, the big-hitting winters gradually getting less and less... 

The thing for me though is the way that an inch of snow used to be unremarkable, heck even a centimetre wouldn't have caused any fuss back in the 80s and 90s (and I daresay before that too). These days it's like gold dust - 5 years now since the last snow day here (i.e. a covering, or even stretching it to a dusting, of snow at 9 AM) and the way the models are going it'll be 6 years soon enough. If we don't get snow on the ground this year that'll be unprecedented - there's never been such a long gap in my 46-year lifetime. 

Sadly as a heat-hater I've got the worst of both worlds here. We've not only lost our once common snowy easterlies, but you can guarantee every summer will be a scorcher (even if people whinge that it's not 30C every day, they're always above average these days, and you can guarantee hitting 30 or more each year too.)

Now feel very angry with the models as they ruined and prevented a very good chance of 80s winter set up since all other places had deep cold and snowy winter.  We had waited so long for Europe to be so cold enough for us to tap but alas models refused it.  Can’t see next winter a same repeat of deep cold in Europe for us to try again to tap it and with models still exist to do it best to block it.  Nick Sussex also said the models are like s[censored]ing at us from his post yesterday.
