After a coolish feeling day yesterday (18 C), today started fresh and cold with a Min of 6.5 C

Mostly sunny today though with strong sunshine at last. It's already 16 C at 10am but with a pesky onshore NE breeze to spoil the party. I'll be happy if we reach 20 C today

It's 18 C indoors

High cloud has now moved in from the SW, probably to do with a weak trough that is due in this evening. We have a moderate occasionally fresh breeze from the SE with a current temperature of 22.6c

In addition to that, tomorrow could even end up being our hottest June day on record if the Met Office are correct with their latest forecasts as they are going for a maximum of around 28°C for here tomorrow which would be enough to give us that June record if that was to come off.

A beautiful day here, with gin-clear skies and the advantage of fairly low humidity. It looks like the temperature has peaked at 27.6°C on my weather station. Pretty much a perfect summer's day.

I think the high is done now for the day, quite surprised we got to 30.5c - we'll see what Saturday has in store, but a stunner today.

Like other stations in Edinburgh, I recorded 21 C today. It was mostly sunny but high cloud is now spreading in from the west

Looking forward to 27 C tomorrow, 25 C on Saturday with a thunder risk. Local BBC TV forecast showing 19 C for Sunday with heavy showers. 19 C then forecast all week next week 🙄

Sun is beginning to rise and it's approaching 3:30am.

Outside temperature is currently 20.2C.

As warm as that is for an overnight temperature low it feels refreshing compared to the indoor temperature which depending on the room is between 25-27C!!!

Edit: just seen Gosport Fleetlands is currently 20C and Thorney 19C both official Met sites and both relatively away from the built up urban areas.

Cut, copy 'n' paste: clear, calm, warm. It's the warmest night of the year so far, in fact, with a low of 15.7 as of now...

It's 16.4, dew 14.9, and a slight mist over the hills in the distance belies a humid and hot day to come.

Yesterday's high was 28.5.

Here in Edinburgh, last night was milder than the previous night but it still doesn't feel particularly warm at the moment and given that today could potentially end up being our hottest June day on record, the temperature will need to rise by quite a lot during the course of the day for that record to even be challenged although I still wouldn't even be the least bit surprised if that ended up happening.

That said, today has started off with some very hazy sunshine here but there is also some cloud around. Ideally, we would need that cloud to break up if that temperature record is to be challenged but even though this month hasn't seemed as sunny overall as other recent months (it has even had a completely sunless day within it which is something which we didn't see at all in May), this is still yet another month which is also on course to end up being sunnier than average and we still keep on seeing that cloud break up day by day on a regular basis, so that will probably happen today as well.

Currently around 12°C here in Edinburgh.

15.5c and partly cloudy. Was completely sunny but high cloud moved up from the SW. Not sure how sunny today is going to be anymore, looks to be lots of cloud moving NE.

Diffuse sunshine from a white sky thanks to some very humid air in the mid/high levels but if the models are correct this should push eastwards and allow clear skies this afternoon.

In response to that, the temperature here in Edinburgh is now up to around 19°C which is an increase of around 7°C in just around 3 hours.

If we are to challenge that record, the temperature will still need to rise quite a lot further than that, but we are now well on course for that to happen.

Whilst the BBC app is giving me wall to wall sunshine, on the ground i'm receiving some water droplets of what I assume comes from the high level cloud. Feels thundery and with the ACC to the west I shouldn't be surprised I suppose.
