Steady snow here just north of Salisbury - settling on lawns and cars - roads still clear as I think they have been salted. But if it clears and freezes in the small hours, tomorrow's rush will be skiing!! Cheers All.

Basingstoke -    1.5 degrees and steady rain.

No proper snow to speak of for about 3 years - thing of the past now perhaps.

On my way back from London but reliably told that after rain, it has been snowing steadily for an hour or so and accumulating on most surfaces in Henfield and Burgess Hill, West Sussex. These are areas of 30m asl.

Radar here is showing 2mm/hr precipitation but nothing is reaching the ground other than the odd spot of drizzle.

The radar returns are not representing reality at all.

Princetown webcam looks good. Then again, it does have the advantage of being at an elevation of near enough to 1500 feet.

We spent a week in Devon last August and our visit to Dartmoor was definitely a highlight. I recall stopping at the highest pub in Dartmoor for a drink - the Warren House Inn(I think). Wouldn't mind being there today!

Just the sort of snow which has melted on the way down here! It's chucking it down too, most frustrating.

3.3, dew 1.0, both falling steadily now.

Snow remains mostly of the light variety here - we did have a few mins of more moderate stuff which temporarily covered the road but back to lighter stuff again. We might eke out a cm or 2 assuming it stays as snow and the precip doesn't fragment - nice to see but not the fun of anything more disruptive.

Temp 0.2c with a -0.4c DP.

Now raining, not enough to see but enough to hear if I open the window. My phone tells me it is snowing now. It lies...

Moderate snow continuing here. About 8 cms now. Would have been a lot more if the temp had been a degree lower!. Will be plastered on the higher moor, which was still white from Monday's snow.

Heavy rain turned very briefly to a spell of wet snow above 100 metres around SE Kent between 4.45pm and 5.15pm

The transition was caused briefly by a spell of heavier precipitation (yellow on the radar). During this period the temperature here in my garden at Folkestone (35m asl) dropped back to 2.3c with a dewpoint 1.1c. It was at this time I was treated to a dozen blobs of sleet in the rain and one errant wet snowflake.

It didn't last. 10 mins later the precipitation eased back to drizzle and since then a very slight recovery in temperature has begun, air 2.4c, dew 1.7c.

Of course, in reality I was checking for sleet... none whatsoever, even though it's continuing to chuck it down. 2.6 here as well, with a 1.0 dewpoint (89% RH).
