Mild with a current temperature of 10.4c part cloudy skies and a wet ground making it look like it rained heavily.

After a fair end to yesterday and a moonlit night, it's now back to default overcast skies. I'd like to say how the 10 C & low 90% H are feeling mild compared to of late but it still feels all cold and clammy.

Did anyone else notice this? At 16.00 hrs we have a dramatic "sunset in the east"! In contrast the western sky looked relatively grey, but sunlight was getting through/by to illuminate the clouds in the east, which are looking splendid. When I locked up the church at 4pm light was coming in from both the west and east windows!

A fairly wind night here in Edinburgh with the wind at Edinburgh Gogarbank gusting up to around 46 mph from the WSW.

Once again though, this winter has gone completely down the toilet pan with the temperature at around 12°C here in Edinburgh and refusing to drop.😡

A double-digit minimum last night, which always seems a bit zany in the core of winter! (I define the core as being mid-December to mid-February, FWIW).

It's breezy with plenty of high cloud, the moon was shining earlier. 10.2, dew 8.1. Last night's low was 10.1 and yesterday's high was 12.7.

9.7C, clouds (moving rapidly from the SW) back in control after a pleasantly sunny day yesterday. There was a suspicion of early brightness to the SE this morning, but it's gone.

After a brighter day yesterday, it's back to gloomy drizzly stuff here today. This year must be the cloudiest one ever. I don't mind it at this time of year as it gives a cosy feel with the Christmas lights on to offset the darkness

Drizzle aside, it's 9.4, dew 8.8, which is the high so far. Last night's low was 4.4, and yesterday's high was 11.3.

After a brief absence, the wind returns today - gusting into the 30s, with a bit of strengthening to come. Then it'll be touching 50 overnight, a crud night for trying to sleep with all that noise.

It's exceptionally mild, too, with a few bits of drizzle around. 12.3, dew 11.5, with an overnight low of 8.5.

I'll be interested to see just how warm it ends up being today. The MetO raw has 15 here, but the MetO text forecast only mentions 14 as a max!

Last night was a wild and noisy night here in Edinburgh with the winds at Edinburgh Gogarbank gusting up to a maximum of 48.3 mph from the SW.

However, the frost-free horror show goes on with the temperature at a ridiculously mild 12°C here in Edinburgh.😡

Utterly miserable here - the wind's picked up, gusting into the 40s, causing a howling noise from the corner of my roof - great. The drizzle has become heavier and yet again everything is soaking wet, and yet again the MetO raw completely missed it (<5% chance of rain it said, hah).

The very mild temperatures continue, it's now up to 13.6 /  dew 12.0, which is the high so far.
