It's been a wild day here in Edinburgh with a number of blustery showers and winds gusting up to around 55 mph from the WSW at Edinburgh Gogarbank which makes today our windiest day of this winter so far without even a named storm around to actually cause that.

Currently around 6°C and not even the least bit cold.😡

The north of Edinburgh, usually always missing out on snow events which occur not just within the rest of Scotland or the UK, but also within the rest of Edinburgh.

Yes I think the Met Office are on their Christmas do!

The storm with no name packing a punch! Several sites over 80 mph

Wind is roaring round the house....we had hail and distant thunder to the SW earlier this afternoon

The A66 has closed due to the strength of the wind

Max gust locally was 63mph, but 74mph slightly south at Emley Moor. Horrible.

Now the temp is coming down 3.9c, showers ,winds still gusting to 50mph, feels bitter .
