Incredibly cold in Moscow - Surely locals would feel it? Never got above -26c today in Moscow and same for Saint Petersburg:https://www.accuweather.com/en/ru/moscow/294021/weather-forecast/294021 Temperatures are some 15 to 20c below seasonal January average for them - not a record breaker for cold but it's never been so cold over recent years and the fact that the cold has been on going for weeks or even over a month now is just remarkable...really is!!! When will it head our way? Also look at Oslo - temperatures not set to rise above -20c by day on 5th:- Just remarkable and yet the CFS and all long range models never went for such prolonged cold weather For Russia and Scandinavia - including Baltic regions. I remember C FS was for Russian and Scandinavia to be 1-2c above norm for December and near Norm for January but it's been well below norm for almost 1 month! - Imagine an easterly now for the UK?? 😋
