Rather cloudy with just the odd chinks of brightness, turned damp last night with 0.4 mm of showery rain but is now drying up. A chilly feeling 5.5 C & low 70% H but winds are light.

Intermittently bright and sunny today. Increasing cloudy and very wintery feel and look. Very little wind..
Temp down to 3dc.  Interesting week ahead (here anyway!), Ive got my snow brush and shovel from the hut (the lock on which was rusted shut).

What overnight rain?

Everything may well look slightly damp here this morning but as has been the case throughout this month so far, virtually nothing in the way of actual measurable rainfall is being recorded at any of my local stations and as long as that continues to be the case, I will continue to remain in hibernation due to the weather continuing to be as boring and uninteresting as it normally is.

A wet morning here - the first for some time. 3mm of rain since midnight and 5.1°C currently.

Overcast and rather damp & clammy, a shame really as it did start off fairly dry and bright first thing. 5.2 C & High 80% H but very little wind.

Superb visibility in the northerly now. Just been up the hill and could see a snowy Glenshee and Ben Ledi. Not bad from Edinburgh!

Light icy-cold rain. (Lamp post watch shows it's all pure rain, no sleetiness).

2.7C / dew 1.7C and falling slowly. The overnight low so far is also 2.7C.

A very cold start to this morning here in Edinburgh with an official air frost at all three of my local stations.

Indeed, last night was our coldest night of this so called "spring" so far with the temperature at Edinburgh Airport dropping to around -4°C overnight.

On the positive note, this has led to a bright and sunny start to this morning but the temperature at 7am GMT (07:00 UTC) here in Edinburgh was still at around -2°C

The question which arises from that of course, is where on Earth was this cold air during February when we were actually looking for it?😡

Here the dawn the temperature at 7am with 3/8s of cloud cover was 3.8c. So I none event here.. however mid midlands northwards does look a lot better.
