To stop mould. My house tends to develop mould in areas such as behind cupboards if the temperature falls too low.

22.0c THIS MORNING
19.8° at 09:00 today with driving rain hitting the front bay windows. Thermostat sits at 17°. No heating at all so far this autumn. On Tuesday, I was playing golf in a polo shirt & shorts. Far too mild for the time of the year.
19.3c to 20.1c downstairs this morning, 20.8c in the bedroom. Up a notch from this time yesterday.
Relative humidity in the range 71-73%.
Yesterday evenings peaks 20.1c to 21.1c downstairs, 22.0c in the bedroom.
Thermostat sits at 16c.
All this without central heating. The combination of cloudy and warm nights and sunny afternoons has been quite remarkable this month in getting us to this position.
22.5c in the lounge. Heating on low. must turn it down a notch when the wife is not looking,
The house has undergone quite an unprecedented warming trend over the past week.
We are now peaking in the early evenings at around 20.7c to 21.7c. This mornings lows of 19.7c to 20.3c were simply remarkable.
I'm typing away in the bedroom at the moment in shorts and t shirt with a temperature of 21.7c with a RH of 71%.
No surprises really, todays outside max temperature was 19.7c.
This weeks outside maxima since Saturday have been as follows 18.7,18.1,19.1,19.8,17.7 and 18.5.
Minima have been equally impressive 9.9,10.7,11.3,10.3,13.6,11.1 and 11.3c
Just been to the cinema. When we came out at 10:00 pm, it was 17°. It actually felt mild. Incredible. Indoors at home it's currently 21.2°. T-shirt and shorts... Even the better half commented she felt warm. No heating still.
17C downstairs and 20C up, much as the past few days. The heating, set to 16.5C, came on in the early hours yesterday morning but hasn't been on since.
The temperature (downstairs) in my house has varied from 15C to 17.5C over the past week, the outside temperatures in the same format as yours have been:
Max: 17.4,19.0,17.2,16.2,18.8,19.4
Min: 8.6, 15.9 (!), 6.4, 13.6, 14.1, 9.5, 14.8 (so far)
Sunshine through the windows. 22.5c in the lounge. Thermostat turned down a degree.
Didn't bother with the heating this morning as 17.6c inside. Yet to spend more than £2 on any day on gas (hot water and central heating and that is before the Government discount for next 6 months) so far this autumn which I see as a great success.
I've had the fire going a few times so far this autumn - borderline as to whether I've needed to although a few mornings have been a bit chilly indoors when working from home.
Currently though it's too warm in the house - not really dropping less than 20c and topping out at 21-22c, which are window opening temps.
Good for the heating bills I guess but would have been nice to have had some crisp chilly mornings.
19.9 C - still no use of gas. Hot water just warm enough for a strip wash but not washing up - need some sunshine today for the solar hot water
22.3 yesterday pm, 19.9 this morning. Brief use of gas to top up hot water for washing etc.
It was 20c outside yesterday afternoon with unbroken sunshine for 90 minutes in a calm period of weather before the 5pm storm.
As a result I was able to open the back door to let some warmth in ! Madness for late October.
We achieved downstairs highs of 21.3c to 21.7c as a result with a brief high of 23.1c in the bedroom.
A wild and windy night with temps circa 15-16c did little to reduce the internal warmth.
This morning we have 19.7c to 20.3c downstairs and 21.7c in the bedroom.
The humidity needs to be kept in check. 74-77% generally.
Steady 21.5c This Morning
22.3c in the lounge with sunshine through the windows. Heaters luke warm.
16.3 outside, 16.5 downstairs and 21.6 upstairs.
The heating is presently set to 16 and thanks to the high dewpoints outside of late, the dewpoint downstairs is 13C (79% RH) and 13C upstairs too (59% RH). Outside the dewpoint is 12C (77% RH).
It'd be nice to get dewpoints both inside and out in single figures... but without running the heating for a long time, or using the a/c in dehumidify mode, that's not going to happen. And the GFS has double-figure dewpoints here for the next week and a bit!
22.6 yesterday, 20.2 this morning, no heating on. This is getting ridiculous but just what is needed in view of gas prices.
Yes DEW and long may it continue.
No heating required since that 12 hour drying boost 10 days ago.
This morning we have 18.7c dining room, 18.9c hallway, 19.2c lounge and 21.0c in the bedroom.
Yesterdays internal highs were around 20-21c again.
22.c. No heating switched on.
