It was 20c outside yesterday afternoon with unbroken sunshine for 90 minutes in a calm period of weather before the 5pm storm.

As a result I was able to open the back door to let some warmth in ! Madness for late October.

We achieved downstairs highs of 21.3c to 21.7c as a result with a brief high of 23.1c in the bedroom.

A wild and windy night with temps circa 15-16c did little to reduce the internal warmth.

This morning we have 19.7c to 20.3c downstairs and 21.7c in the bedroom.

The humidity needs to be kept in check. 74-77% generally.

Just about managed without heating this morning thanks to the mild weather. Currently 16.2°C in the hall and 18.3°C in the kitchen. Impressive for late October with no heating on and no sunshine for what seems like days.

Even with a boarded-up hole in the wall downstairs where we are still waiting for a patio door to be fitted we haven’t had to use any heating since the cold nights early in the month. It’s been 20-21C constantly upstairs. Just as well as our new heat pump still isn’t working properly!

16.3 outside, 16.5 downstairs and 21.6 upstairs.

The heating is presently set to 16 and thanks to the high dewpoints outside of late, the dewpoint downstairs is 13C (79% RH) and 13C upstairs too (59% RH). Outside the dewpoint is 12C (77% RH).

It'd be nice to get dewpoints both inside and out in single figures... but without running the heating for a long time, or using the a/c in dehumidify mode, that's not going to happen. And the GFS has double-figure dewpoints here for the next week and a bit!

22.6 yesterday, 20.2 this morning, no heating on. This is getting ridiculous but just what is needed in view of gas prices.

Yes DEW and long may it continue.

No heating required since that 12 hour drying boost 10 days ago.

This morning we have 18.7c dining room, 18.9c hallway, 19.2c lounge and 21.0c in the bedroom.

Yesterdays internal highs were around 20-21c again.

16.0 when I got in, the heating (set to 16.5) came on soon after. I think the cooler night than of late allowed a bit more of the heat to leech out than over the past few days.

It's 20 upstairs.

This morning in the living room it's 19.2c & upstairs is roughly 22c.

Still not had to put the heating on, which although unusual, I'm not that unhappy about it.

19.3c Hallway, 19.1c dining room, 19.7c lounge and 21.0c bedroom (we even opened the window last night as it was a bit stuffy).

Humidity closing in on 75%.

It would be great if the upcoming very warm spell is associated with some sub 60% humidity. I doubt it though very much considering the sub tropical origin of the airmass.

18.7c with no heating today.
Gas use for October 2022 stands at 30m2 compare to 98m2 last October. Warm weather, better insulation and a commitment to keeping the house at no more than 18c.
