21 to 22c throughout. Heating on for the past 12 hours

Heating was needed. Not through temperature but by dampness. We noticed that by trapping all the warmth in we had also trapped in a lot of humidity rendering internal doors difficult to shut. Relative humidity was varying between 75-85% !

Lower this morning at around 70%.

This morning I experimented turning the heat on while sunny with thermostat set at 21.  Took less than an hour from 19C to 21.5 when it cut off and continue to rise to 22.5 from the sun.  It used a bit less gas than evening heat up for nearly 2 hours as i did on Thursday which was from 16 to 20C as I was away for work.  Really comfortable warmth today then drop to 20C when I close shutters.  Will see how much by morning if hold enough.

No heating overnight, but as close as it could be without it coming on.

(The indoor temperature actually fell during the day yesterday, down to 16C by mid-afternoon, before warming up by half a degree again overnight.)

17.5C outside, 17C downstairs and 21C upstairs.

It'll be a long time, many months, before it hits 20C downstairs again.

The RH has crept up again though.

Outside the dewpoint's 12.7C.

None of that should be a problem, though, as it's not going to be colder than 12.5C indoors any time soon.

Warm out (high 19.1c), warm in.

Hallway 20.5c

Dining room 20.7c / 73%

Lounge 21.1c / 72%

Bedroom 21.0c / 82%

Wearing T shirt and shorts again indoors. Very very pleased.

If someone had said to me when we arrived back from that weekend away in mid September when the house was just 17.3c that a month later I would have used the central heating for just a few hours to dry the house a little I wouldn't have believed them.

Logging in while I'm at lunch - it's now 16C indoors, downstairs. If I were to magically go home right now the heating would come on!

At the moment, we are using about £1.50 gas a day, a couple of showers/bath/washing up and a blast of heating first thing to get the temp from 15/16c to 18c. Fairly happy with that for now.

The downstairs temperature clicked down to 15 and that's triggered the heating to come on - the thermostat is set to 16.5, so it'll be on for a while. 20C upstairs, but the heat won't do much up there.

20.1c to 21.4c were the early evening peaks yesterday.

A general 19.0c to 19.9c downstairs this morning. 20.7c in the bedroom.

No heating, RH's in the low 70's, no dramas, all good.
