It's been between 16.5 and 17.5 downstairs for the past day and a half, no heating but getting close to the 16 threshold.

Upstairs it's generally been between 19 and 21; it's presently 21 up there with the sun shining in.

EDIT: A few hours later, with the setting sun shining in from the west, it's 23C up and 18C down.

Largely unbroken afternoon sunshine after 2pm, a light breeze, an outside temperature of 18c and a Sunday roast have worked their magic to give a hallway temperature of 21.0c with other rooms in the house in the range 21.5 to 22.5c.

With a few external warm days ahead and some nicely stored internal warmth I'm hopeful we now won't need to think about central heating for another 5 days or so.

The heating came on briefly this morning as it dipped below 16C downstairs. It's a surprisingly cold night outside (7.8C) as of writing.

Much the same factors here and add in a cloudy night to give 22.5 C yesterday evening down to 20.3 C now

Used 20m3 of gas in September 2022 compared to 28m3 in September 2021. We were away in Sep 21 for 9 nights too.
Want to try and significantly beat the 90m3 used in October 2021 now.

Not had any heating on the last two days 17-18c inside.

We moved back in to our house yesterday but there is still a gaping hole in the extension where we are waiting for patio doors to be fitted, so it's a bit chilly. We do still have some heating upstairs from the old electric rads, anyway. Hopefully the builders will get a board across the hole soon as it might be two or three weeks waiting for the door!

No central used heating in October and just 3 hours at the end of September.

Really really pleased with the way this week is panning out.

Internal temperatures have not fallen despite rather a lot of cloud. Clearly outside temperatures of 15-18c most of the time have made very little impact on internal temperatures.

19.5c in the hallway this evening with 19.7c to 20.4c elsewhere.

We still make a point of preserving what we have by opening the oven door at 6pm, closing the curtains as soon as solar insulation ceases and opening the dishwasher after it finishes its cycle at 9pm. Every little helps.

16.7°C just now so no heating on but I suspect it will come on the morning for a while.

Hopefully a bit of sunshine tomorrow will warm things up a bit.

Didnt know dishwasher generate warmth after use as I never had one here. Desktop PC give living room a 1C rise every time.

For the oven this shouldn't make a difference over a period of hours; the heat will still be released within the house though you may get an immediate spike. Much the same for the dishwasher though some of its heat will go towards evaporating the water on the crockery - don't you find that by opening early the dishes are still wet?

Anyway, 19.5 C here this morning.

17.1⁰C in the house at the moment so no need for heating. It did come on for a while earlier this morning when it dipped below 15.5⁰C.
