And we have snow in Reigate. Took its time. Graupel at first but instant covering on the frost. Happier now.

For such a thin band of cloud that dumped a fair bit of snow for these parts, just think if it was three or four times the size.

Tally, is that cloud dropping rain or snow in your area?

Snow has just about stopped here. Level depth is 5cm. Not bad given it was only snowing for 2 hours. It was very heavy at times.

6cm here, now eased completely, only a little more at altitude (300m), perhaps a little more later. Good sledging!

Snow falling now in Twickenham.  Very concerned at the last Bbc on Andrew Marr forecast showing rain over a large part of London. This time I think that’s incorrect though, at least to the west and north of the City itself.

I've received a report of about an inch of lying snow in Shrewsbury and continuing to fall.  Here we've had just the lightest of showers which consisted entirely of powder snow, which is lying unmelting on the frozen road like tiny balls of expanded polystyrene.

That's the first time in my life I've seen powder snow from clouds approaching from a WSW direction

We must be just close enough to the coast to be getting the drift from the sea. Quite heavy rain with the odd flake
