And of course they all blow up again as they move past London.

Tropical mist in the garden, steaming up. Just like being in Florida after a storm has passed

Out of nowhere a sudden huge flash of lightning, lights dipped and thunder
I see the squall line coming through now
Very thundery all of a sudden

Just watched a cell approaching from Woking direction. Strangely the rain only began after the main storm cloud had passed, and we only got another sprinkling.

Just been spending hours mopping up the garage. Some roof tiles came off as well. Also water coming through the extractor fan in one of the bathrooms, staining the ceiling plaster which has turned brown

I think you need to invest a proper overhaul repair on your garage if this keep flooding every time.  Nothing here because it not hot enough or sunny enough to generate a proper storm.

Not seen these daily analyses posted on here before from Paul Blight (PJB on UKWW) but they are utterly superb and give great explanations of the atmospheric drivers at play.

Highly recommend having a read/following him on Twitter.

Appears to be some storms on the way from the north sea towards south essex. Whether they’ll make it now they have been spotted! Been too shy here today!

In Manchester, that's known as a bit of light drizzle

It looks like a convergence zone is trying to get going.

I know. The whole house is in a state of disrepair but I don’t want to spend much on it as I don’t know how long I’ll be sticking around for.

Can see flashing from the compact but active electrified cell that is currently moving NWwards onto Clacton On Sea. Those living there must be getting a good light show.

Cells building to my north as they move west, the odd one or two flashes here. Must be a fun drive west out of London at the moment!
