The heavy rain forecast for last night in S, Dorset  failed to arrive but there was just a slight drizzle that hardly wet the ground. So close and yet so far. The current system that seems to have given a soaking to parts of the SW earlier is now irrigating the English Channel.

Met Office seem confident that tonight's forecast of heavy thundery rain will come off though. Have to wait and see for this part of the UK.

Closing in on 60mm this evening, and a wet night to come.
That's already more than March April and May combined.
