That’s lockdown for you. Yesterday my brother cooked chips for dinner as he thought it was Saturday until his wife asked where the Sunday dinner was! They’re having a roast today!
Of course we all hope there will be a vaccine and it’s looking positive on that front but it could take longer and we have to make provision for if it doesn’t happen soon. We can’t hold everything up on ‘ifs’ and ‘maybes’. We need a plan B.
My view on schools re-opening is to plan as proposed in full consultation with teaching staff, but wait and see whether it’s safe enough to do so when the time comes.
Haha. It's the way you tell em!

A very good section on BBC R4 just now on the science side of Covid-19. An interview with a professor from Imperial College who said she was confident some of the candidates worldwide would produce viable vaccines - but that early 2021 was a more realistic timescale. She emphasised the challenge of gearing up for billions of shots needed worldwide and the need to ensure global cooperation.

If a success we could continue it forever.

Ive been taking Vit D, Korean ginseng and high strength zinc for years and I never get colds
Watch this clip about Dutch approach --> if your goal is to run virus through population then opening schools is helpful as kids can spread it through their communities. At least they're honest about the strategy. https://t.co/LuaQBM0B2r— Devi Sridhar (@devisridhar) May 18, 2020

The Tories rushing this Bill through is a huge risk to our NHS and care sector during the #coronaviruscrisis.
