I suggested to my other half we could make up 7 "day cards" and draw one at random each morning to decide which "day" we are having. Would add a certain unpredictability to our daily routine...

The Times has a piece about the potential vitamin D link. Good excuse to relocate to my garden this morning.  

 

I really am a big believer in ‘you are what you eat’ and a good balanced diet is the key to a healthy mind and body.  Fish, eggs and brown mushrooms are a good source of Vit D, but a daily dose of sunshine in short sleeves is best.

Maybe they are still trying to work out how they are going to do it? To be fair to headteachers it must be a logistical nightmare. My school is opening to more children from the 14th of June but we haven't had any details on how it's going to work yet.

I’d agree that’s the case in winter when the sun is low in the sky but it’s sufficient in summer.   Dark skin doesn’t absorb it as well as white skin, which could be a reason for the higher death rate in ethnic groups.

Whenever I've seen an estate agents "video tour" all they seem to do is a video which shows the photos you can already see but in a fancy way. 

I've seen some which have a Google  Streetview type thing... the snag is those make the place look as small as it is, whereas the camera always lies with estate agents, hence the carefully chosen shots. (A classic is the massively wide cabinets which give the game away).

As for schools, I would have thought in this day an age a Tweet on their feed showing a classroom would be enough.

Pigeons coming home to roost me thinks...let’s face facts..you didn’t  care one iota about what was going on in care homes prior to Covid 19...chronic underfunding, massive staff shortages , here on the south coast, owners of care homes unable to recruit suitable staff from the local population...categorisation of care workers as unskilled...Do you really think Patel’s objectives are to massively upgrade salaries and career paths for carers and encourage local people to consider this as a new career and to retrain? No I don’t, either....she is pursuing her populist, anti immigrant agenda in her usual graceless manner!

Because it is complete Bull! We should have control of immigration and to say otherwise is Bull. If we need migrant labour, we can easily get it, there is no issue.

I just don't comprehend any other argument - no civilisation can survive with completely open borders.

Besides, the economic consequences of COVID-19 mean that there won't be any shortage of domestic labour for some considerable time.
