Thanks John. My issue is she seems to go with the government line. Sometimes when she talks through the slides it’s like we are looking at something different.

Also, her advice on mass gatherings was a total joke.

I seem to remember you calling me out for calling Hancock a slime ball. Seems, that a few posters agree with me today on that front as well.

Frankly I find a lot of this name calling (not you exclusively by any means), both boring and incredibly immature, but if you want to draw me into it, you have a habit of agreeing with quite a lot of posts without adding any content - that would be my definition of a nodding donkey.

Name calling public figures that none of us know personally is very different to directly insulting members of this forum. I find that post outrageous.

Doc has just agreed to a post without adding any content. Is he a nodding donkey too?
Sadly I know I can now expect an insult coming my way too. 🙁

Gov Cuomo in NYC just now stating rising concerns about this Kawasaki type syndrome affecting kids.

He says in the cases tested, 90% either had Covid19 or had the antibodies.

This is the sort of thing we should be watching play out a few weeks longer before sending kids back to school.

Well you'd be very wrong. Pray tell me what insult am I guilty of?

Is calling someone a nodding donkey not an insult?

Is Doc a ‘nodding donkey’, due to him agreeing with a post and not adding any content (a few posts up)?

I cannot understand why there are attempts to censure opinions today? No one is being overly profane? Merely an opinion is expressed (at times quite strongly), often with a decent reason why and that goes for both sides of the debate.

Unless it is needlessly offensive or blatantly untrue what is the issue? Mountains and molehills come to mind. We're adults debating a very divisive topic that deeply affects all of us - I think we need to take stock for a moment and count to ten 🙂

But I didn't did I...what I said is "that would be my definition of a nodding donkey"...not that he was.

Check through all of the forums and find one incidence where I have ever insulted a poster and let me know.

Steve I'm not censuring...I'm not moderating....I'm not deleting any posts. I just expressed a personal opinion which seems to have upset a few in here. Hey ho - ruffled feathers and all that.

I'm not singling out one person, John. Merely people are dismissing rather than discussing  It's usually better than that in here.

For the record, I’m only carrying this on because you’ve asked me to but:

If you are seriously saying this:

“but if you want to draw me into it, you have a habit of agreeing with quite a lot of posts without adding any content - that would be my definition of a nodding donkey.”

Was not aimed at Mark, then I’d say you should have been a politician (maybe you were?)

Yes. I do agree with a lot of posts. But this is a discussion forum and you can agree without adding context. Equally, I also wrote my own posts with my opinion added.

This is the UIA forum and strong opinions are allowed. You are ok to disagree, but you seem uncomfortable with strong opinions.

No I didn't.

What I said as you full know was, " Check through all of the forums and find one incidence where I have ever insulted a poster and let me know" .....which you couldn't.

Anyway enough of this pointless discussion. You, a couple of other members and of course Mark have your own views. I have a different one. Let's leave it there.

Yes she is on record as spinning some yarn at the beginning of this crisis about large open air gatherings not being a problem in spreading the virus and that small gatherings were more of a problem. I really could not understand this at the time because it seemed more like black magic than science. When did this change? I see no sign of large gatherings being allowed now even though we are clearly on top of the situation.

Here is a question for teachers - if June is so bad for some classes going back, why is September going to be any better?

There still won't be the possibility of mass vaccination by then, so we will still be living with the virus just as we are now going into the autumn.

If anything, the summer months, when it is warmer and there is more outdoor activity, would be a better time to be at school.

The other thing which puzzles me is some authorities getting uptight about people being on beaches - I would have thought a beach was the last place where you could pick up the virus, being outdoors with onshore breezes - perfect place for people to relax without anxiety.

There appears to be an element of mass hysteria about corona virus.

New world order coming.
