Yet another day of rank humid grey easterly muck
I am yet to wake up to sunshine since returning to the UK. Woke up to grey rubbish in Stockport on Wednesday and grey rubbish every day here since Thursday.
Temperature hasn't dropped below 16C since Thursday or 15C since last Monday. There have been 12 nights this month it hasn't dropped below 14C which is more than any full calendar year has ever recorded except for 2006 and 2013
House won't cool down below 23C yet it is too unpleasant to sit outside. You couldn't make this awful summer weather up.
Yesterday was a rare dry day but ruined by the vile North Sea cloud. Only managed 5.6 hours sun which fell short of even the 5.7 hours recorded on Saturday 21st July 2012 and now it is back to depressing sunless gloom.
If there is not any siginificant improvent in August then this will be the first time since 2012 that both July and August have been poor
