It's fairly breezy here at times, but also clear.
However, I have a feeling that there might be some sort of unexpected warm front which has moved through and dragged in some less cold air because not only are the temperatures refusing to drop at the moment, but they have actually gone up a bit over the last few hours.
As a result of that, the temperature at midnight was now up to 2.8°C at Edinburgh Gogarbank, 3°C at Edinburgh Airport and 3.0°C at the botanic gardens in Edinburgh.
Because of that, I think that we can probably now, forget about any prospects of us getting any snow or freezing rain in this part of the world later on today as things now stand.
The north of Edinburgh, usually always missing out on snow events which occur not just within the rest of Scotland or the UK, but also within the rest of Edinburgh.
