17.8*C was the min. here at around 7.30am. Now 20.2*C and rising.

Just sweeping the leaves in the garden in what can only be described as very warm sunshine . Really odd for 9am in the middle of October.
Can somewhere get to 25c or even 80f today.
Already 22c in Cambridge
A useful link Doc. It also suggests we won't get a record min- I think 1985 may have beat that 17.2C somewhere- there was a 17 in Mayflower Park (Southampton) which may not have been the warmest spot.

What a gorgeous day! Recording 26.6c in my back garden (Dartford), however the thermometer is in the direct sun right now & it feels a little bit weird doing pre-christmas food prep (homemade mincemeat & cakes) in such glorious weather, we may be eating dinner al fresco this evening!!!

Very weird!
Our cloud is just beginning to break so I'm half tempted outside but then it looks windy with gusts studded with autumn leaves so you naturally think it must be chilly......until you step out into it!
Very odd!

Sunny and breezy with some cloud and a very warm 24.2c. Walking outside to such warmth is strange, when you can see the stiff breeze whipping up the leaves from inside.

Took this earlier today, before lunchtime a nice sized Iridescent cloud, with a couple of smaller ones above & below it. Not sure the picture justifies how it looked to the naked eye but it's good enough!
Not been lucky enough to see one so large until now.
26.3c at Donna Nook Lincolnshire
can we hit 80f
We maxed at 22.9C at 14.30 and currently a little less at 21.4C, Although it has been wet and windy it has felt pleasant.
Only got up to 22.7*C here around midday. Blustery strong wind feels quite desiccating, and the soil in the garden which had been damp after slight rainfall the other night is looking very dry again.
Been up at 24.3C when skies were clearer, currently 22.3C and hazy sunshine.
Home : Mid Suffolk.

I wonder if the wind had been slightly less and with a little less high cloud, we may have reached 27C?
Reached 23.0°C at some point while we were out this afternoon- below 22 now, with darkening clouds gathering in the west. The sun reappeared some time after 2pm but the cloudier spell earlier after reaching 22.7 stopped the max being higher.
Happy with the humid 23 here- only 2 October days (both in 2011) have beaten that since we lived here. October 1st 1997 would have beaten it had we been here then.
Can we confirm a date record at Donna Nook then?
High of 21.4c today with some brief sunny spells.

21.0°C right now- so the cold undercutting hasn't really got going despite the dark clouds.
Some amazing clouds at lunchtime BTW; haven't seen true cirrocumulus for a while.
