A bit better this morning, although it could be better still. There is still a lot of cloud around, but there are also some gaps in that cloud with the Sun getting through at times. So far, this has only resulted in 48 minutes of sunshine being recorded for today at Edinburgh Gogarbank as at 8am this morning. However, that is better than what we had at this time yesterday and already matches yesterday's final total for the entire day.Furthermore, there is much more extensive blue sky to my south and the cloud appears to be gradually breaking up over time as the morning wears on, which should then allow even more in the way of sunshine to be seen over time.Last night's overnight minimum temperature was 9.2ºC at Swanston in the south of Edinburgh, 11.0ºC at Edinburgh Gogarbank, 12ºC at Edinburgh Airport and 11.7ºC at the botanic gardens in Edinburgh.Meanwhile, the temperature at 8am this morning was 12.1ºC at Swanston, 13.7ºC at Edinburgh Gogarbank, 13ºC at Edinburgh Airport and 13.6ºC at the botanic gardens in Edinburgh.

Mostly blue sky, moderate east wind but 14 C so a better day in prospect. Could reach 21 C today đ
