I feel July 2013 will be the best summer month since 2006, and will also end up being well above the CET.

Dry and warm for at least the first three weeks, with a cooler, slightly unsettled final week meaning the CET will not be record-breakingly high, but I will plump for a very warm 18.5C please.

The forecast for the first half of the month seems to favour above average temperatures as a whole...but will it last?

Sweating just thinking about it, but here goes - I'm going for 17.42°C in the hope that the very warm to hot spell not only verifies but sticks around for a decent period of time.

For once it's not a warm up later on that's in question, rather how much it cools down afterwards... it's almost impossible to forsee what the latter stages of the month will bring, with the only clues being a trend from CFS away from blocking to the NW towards blocking to the N and NE (currently the average of multiple runs is producing a hybrid of both scenarios).
