The tropics are beginning to wake up for the hurricane season. The link reviews the current position.

At the moment, there seems to be too much wind shear for development in the Atlantic, with tropical depressions simply dumping lots of rain on the SE United States but GFS 0z shows a weak system contributing moisture to the Atlantic circulation which *could* affect British weather at the start of August.
