I hadn't realised how long the run was - and yes, it's 73 days here (yesterday just scraping in with a 20.3 max). That's the trouble with a warm June, it means you're relying on days being more than 3 degrees below average in July and August and that's rare these days! Going 3 degrees above on the other hand...
EDIT: No 1995 data for my nearest station, but the longest stretch of 20s and above for my local station, Brogdale, in 1976 was only 30 days. Shockingly the 1st August 1976 had a high of only 16.6! This year it's 47 days (so far), spoiled by a 19.8 on the 2nd July.
