Looks like this Spring will be close to the record of 10.66 set last year. Currently up to the 30th I make this Spring 10.63, and a small rise today will be enough for 2025 to beat 2024.

It's surprising how similar the two Spring average  temperatures are, given the weather was so different.

Congratulations to Ally Pally Snowman - a spot on prediction for May. There's a virtual bottle of bubbly on the way to you! I'll post the table up tomorrow but there's definitely some movement this month!

The last 5 days absolutely killed me.

It wasn't even that warm up here (I bet there was a unusually large differential between Stoneyhurst and Rothamsted for these 5 days)

I've had an absolute sandwich of a spring errors wise, 0.09°C for March and 0.18°C for May, but a whopping 1.63°C for April 🙄

Still, who can argue with a nice thick filling 😄

According to my own tracking which is hopefully in the right ballpark, Lanky retains the top spot comfortably, by a margin of over 0.5°C, with the host scillydave in 2nd. It was a good decision to post those estimates publicly eh? 😜

Frank H and Dingle Rob appear to be in a close battle for 3rd and 4th place. A long way to go yet though.

I wish it was easier to post images on this forum, I could show a nice graph of the standings.
