Had an impressive hailstorm here just before midday. No thunder/lightning though...

A bright, cold, gusty day here so far. Looks beautiful but feels mighty chilly.

A dull and damp start to today here in Edinburgh thanks to the remnants of Storm Herminia which continue to hang around like a sore head.

This comes after a night in which the temperatures refused to drop, thus bringing us back in another frost free horror show.😡

Currently around 5°C here in Edinburgh and not even the least bit cold.😡

It's now brightened up nicely here in Edinburgh and the Sun is shining as I write.

Calm… at the moment. 6.2c and still dark so that probably means the cloud ahead of todays rain is already over us.

Fine and sunny once overnight cloud and showery rain cleared away early this morning, a chilly 6.3 C & mid 80% H but was able to easily feel the apricity of the noon sun while sheltered from the north breeze during a little constitutional around the harbour with my smartphone camera.

It is coming up to my favourite time of the year that sits between February and April. The last final month of the meteorological Winter still containing some winter possibilities despite snow being rare as rocking horse's poo before really noticing the lengthening daylight and the warmness from the sun, yet nights still easily comfortable to sleep in and weekends with the nearby nightclub are still relatively quiet. Yes, we can still have rubbish stormy weather in February and even March but made more bearable knowing that the darkest depths of Autumn and first half of Winter are behind us for another year.

Wait a bit perhaps FW?

It's a glorious sunny morning here after the rain cleared a few hours back. Doesn't feel warm though.

Dull and wet (2.6 mm so far), 6.3 C but at least wind has fallen dead calm (was a brisk southerly earlier on this morning). A comedown on yesterday's sunshine. Managed a frost last night with a min of 1.1 C in the small hours.
