After a sunny and crisp day, there's a bit of cloud over the western horizon but otherwise it's clear. There's a gentle puff of wind now and again from the NW and the turbines on the misty hills two miles away show that there's a bit more wind up there.
It was a bit warmer today, maxing at 2.9, and as a result the frost has partially melted - areas that were in deep shade all day still have it, and I noticed the next road over (aligned east/west rather than mine, which is north/south) has a white coasting of frost and that persisted all day. It's been a long time since I've seen that and it shows how cold the ground is!
It's currently 1.1, dew 0.2, and I expect the hoar frost will be topped up again tonight. The cold spell continues here, for now at least!
