Gloomy with low cloud shrouding them thar hills, all making the current 10.6 C & mid 90% H feel cold and clammy. Yesterday was a better day with more in the way of sunny breaks and a peak of 14 C.

Revolting weather in London yet again. Cold, grey and drizzly while Aberdeen is bathed in sunshine. Supposed to see the Shard from my hotel but the top is obliterated by murky gloom. Just vile.

Here in Edinburgh, this morning looked lovely, bright and sunny to begin with.

However, there is a cold wind and Princes Street Gardens here in Edinburgh has even been closed for today due to high winds (I can't remember that ever happening before and we've had far worse conditions than this with much windier conditions before without that ever happening but then, that is an entirely different discussion for a different forum).

In addition to that, we've just had a brief shower of rain and there are a number of showers closing in from the west and NW just now.

Meanwhile, the temperature as at 9:20am GMT (09:20 UTC) this morning was around 8°C here in Edinburgh.

Dull and clammy at 10.8 C & mid 90% H, it's like we've forgotten how to do weather. Still, it isn't pouring down and blowing a gale for a change so have that going for us.

It's bright and sunny here in Edinburgh at times, but there's also been a few quite heavy downpours and as I write, we have one ongoing at the moment with even some soft hail mixed in with that.

As was expected, the temperatures have been refusing to rise during today, and remain stuck at around 8°C here in Edinburgh as at 2:40pm GMT (14:40 UTC) this afternoon.

I am going to be heading through to Glasgow during tomorrow on a day trip, so I'm hoping that it will at least be a bit better through there then.

Sudden change from daily rain and mud to March-like 😱 mad drying conditions e.g. this morning sunny and wind gusting high 40s mph.
It's only 4C though.

Just had a hail shower here, too, with torrential rain for a bit. No idea how much though as it was bouncing out of the rain gauge!

The temperature's fallen two degrees in a matter of a few minutes!

I've just returned to Edinburgh after a day trip to Glasgow and there was bright sunshine with only small amounts of cloud both when I left Edinburgh this morning and when I returned home later on.

Even whilst I was in Glasgow, there was still some decent sunshine at times for the first half an hour or so and then for the last couple of hours that I was there.

In between that though, it was generally much cloudier and after threatening to rain for quite a while, there was eventually a much heavier shower of rain (Glasgow wouldn't exactly be the same without the rain after all🤣) although that was thankfully, only brief.

All in all though, I've seen far worse weather conditions than that, so I can't really complain.

There was also a cold wind to begin with, but that has now died away.

As at 4:30pm GMT (16:30 UTC) this afternoon, the temperature was around 9°C here in Edinburgh and despite the fact that this weekend was forecast to be a bit colder than of late, today has actually ended up being slightly warmer here than it was yesterday.
