Just starting this thread on DEW's behalf whilst he is away.

Here in Edinburgh, today has started off on a dull, damp and dreary note with a temperature of around 6°C as at 9am GMT (09:00 UTC) this morning.

A pleasant enough early spring Sunday with decent sunny spells at 10C. Light airs, damp or perhaps sodden describes the ground conditions.
Nice to sit outside for a change though.

Some sunshine punctuated by heavy slow moving showers.. as I’m getting over a particular nasty common cold I don’t mind.

Another hopeless forecast last Friday evening. Went away to N. East Anglia for the weekend. So based on that expecting Saturday and Sunday to be largely dry, mostly cloudy with a strong cold Easterly breeze. Wrong on just about every count! Saturday was a glorious sunny day with clear blue skies till late afternoon and no wind. Quite mild as well. 13C   Today was drastically wrong. Continuous rain ranging from light to moderate to heavy . Solid grey leaden skies, poor visibility and flat calm! So much for them babbling on about the continental HP keeping any rain at bay !!

Here in Edinburgh, our spring permacast hell goes on to such an extent that we're not even getting any significant benefit at the moment from the longer daylight length.

In addition to that, we've had around 3 mm of rain at Edinburgh Gogarbank since 9am GMT (09:00 UTC) this morning with the temperatures also refusing to rise and being stuck at a rather chilly 6°C.😡

Dull and damp making the current 8.3 C & mid 90% H feel cold and clammy. Utter gash, only saving grace is wind being calm.

Another mostly cloudy day but there were a few glimpses of sunshine and feeling less cold with
a lighter wind, temperature was as recent days with a max of 10c.

A lovely sunrise this morning, with a wonderful kaleidoscope of colour to the east. The pinks and reds this morning were eye-popping, and the photo below really doesn't do them justice.

It's still dry, mostly cloudy and calm.

6.8, dew 6.1, after a low of 6.3.

(Of course, the old "red sky in the morning" saying really applies today!)

Another forecast under playing rainfall. "Some patchy rain moving East". Heavy rain all morning so far. Up to 8mm now and a lot more to come according to the radar. Just 8.2C as well. Oh well, keep forecasting the jam tomorrow!

Another day here in Edinburgh, but our same old permacast hell goes on with light rain also setting in once again as I write.

Today is slightly milder than of late with a temperature of around 7°C as at 10 am GMT (10:00 UTC) this morning although it's still not all that warm for this time of the year.

Despite various people wittering on about how hideously mild it is, we have only just reached 10C for first time this month this evening.
It actually got properly light for a couple of hours late afternoon it really has been dire low cloud and drizzle 4C to 5C for days here.
