Inspired by today's rubbish offering, I've opened a thread as a bit of fun.

It's for reports of rain - just rain, not sleet, snow, freezing rain, hail, ice pellets or anything wintry. Just rain.

The aim is to find who can get the coldest rain.

I'll start:

1st December - rain falling at +1.3C, dew +0.1C.
850s are between -6 and -7C.

Beat that if you can!

Cold rain at 8.15.

2.2 air . (Dew 1.1c when it started it illegally rose to 1.7c in defiance).

850's around -6.3c here.

A new entry this morning - light rain, +0.9, dew +0.3.

That's going to be hard to beat, I think!

Well its -1.2c here and its raining.  Freezing  on all surfaces.

Not that it's easy to tell - is it freezing rain (which will freeze on impact), or regular rain hitting a frozen surface? I suspect the former...

Either way, rain of any sort at -1.2 is impressive!

Was a bit gutted it wasn't snow it must be very very marginal.

If those temps was in Nicosia, Cyprus it would definitely snow despite Nicosia are technically a hot place when any place in the UK are technically a cold place should get unlimited unrestricted snowfalls.
