20.7C was yesterday's high - a taste of June in early May.

Partly cloudy and 10.7C at the moment, following a low of 9.7C - again, more like June.

In complete contrast to that, the temperature here in Edinburgh at 7am BST (06:00 UTC) this morning was around 8°C with thick fog which has reduced visibility to less than 100 yards here.

Not a great way to start the King's big day.

The north of Edinburgh, usually always missing out on snow events which occur not just within the rest of Scotland or the UK, but also within the rest of Edinburgh.

Temperature stuck at 8°C, grey, foggy and damp.

This has been a dismal spell of southeasterly muck. Almost totally devoid of sunshine or seasonal maxima  Roll on any westerly influence even if it means frontal weather or convective precipitation.

12C moderate rain with a southerly breeze off the Channel. Looking at the radar it's moving through quite fast.

Rather overcast with occasional chinks of brightness but not as wet as I thought with the odd spit of light rain giving me just 0.2 mm so far today. Only 13.4 C but the 93% H & calm air is making it feel mild & muggy.

Finally stopped raining...for now perhaps.

15.2mm today so a very good soak, as the max rainfall rate was only 9.4mm/hr briefly and mostly much less than that.

Currently 13.1c, which is the high for the day so far.
