Might get confused with the rainfall thread this week?

But at the moment lots of sunshine and 6.5C

Happy Vernal Equinox everyone.

From now on, the days will be longer than the nights and of course, it is now officially spring regardless of how you define that.

As we are getting further on into the year though, the weather seems to be getting worse here at the moment and this morning has started off on a very dreary and misty note here in Edinburgh after a little bit of overnight rain and drizzle which as per usual for here, amounted to virtually nothing.

Meanwhile, the temperature at 6am GMT (06:00 UTC) this morning was around 5°C here in Edinburgh.

A dull wet muddy week in the Lakes for me last week (snowfall on two days though) Back to a dull and cool Edinburgh yesterday and dull with light rain today. Not seen any sunshine for 8 days now so still waiting for that Spring feeling!

Overcast with the lightest of drizzle making it feel damp and clammy. 9.0 C & mid 90% H under a light/mod SW breeze.

I nickname this a "Brighton College day" as it reminds me of those grey dull damp Monday mornings that made being at college felt even more depressing that it was back in the early 1980s. That in itself really is another story for another day. 😐

Saving this thread from sinking into obscurity again. 🤣

Rather overcast with patchy rain (1.8 mm so far today) with a mod/fresh SW breeze making the current 10.2 C & mid 90% H feel cold and fresh. Hoping to see a glimmer of brightness by early afternoon once the clearance arrives here and before more cloud move in from the SW.

A massive improvement for Edinburgh yesterday with warm sunny spells between the showers. 15 C max!
Today it's been quite sunny since first thing but it's blowing a hooley and just about reached 10 C

It certainly is and as at 1pm GMT (13:00 UTC) this afternoon, today's highest wind gusts at Edinburgh Gogarbank have reached 50.3 mph from the SW.

This makes today just as windy as it has been during those most recent named storms (the last such occasion being well before last September of course as there still haven't been a single named storm since then which has been named by the Met Office, Met Eireainn or the Dutch Met service).

There is some cloud around at times as well, but it's mostly sunny and fairly pleasant with a temperature of around 11°C as at 1pm GMT (13:00 UTC) here in Edinburgh.

Bright with some spring-like sunshine making 12.9 C feel mild in mod SW breeze, just a shame things will go downhill later today.

Breezy with a classic mix of sunshine and showers here, some of which have been quite heavy. 11.4°C has been the high so far.

Rain has commenced where I’m already at 4.0 mm so far, also cold & clammy feeling 10.4 C & mid 90% H. A comedown on the spring-like morning but at least winds are still light for now.

Bright 'n' breezy, 11.8 C & mid 80% H. Feeling the wind much more than yesterday but at least doing a good job in drying everything up (at least for now) after yesterday's general rain.

It would be a pleasant enough day, if not particularly mild at 10C,  if it wasn't for the gale force winds from the SW.

I echo other poster's thoughts in here today. A high of 13.3°C here with spells of sunshine. It would have been a lovely early spring day if it wasn't for that 35mph wind.

At least it's not rained all day, though.
