I did just get to single figures last Wednesday, with 9.9C, but apart from that it's been 12-16C pretty much every day for over a month at the time of year that should be seeing the most rapid decline in temperatures
The surreal blandness and lack of temperature variation just seems to become more entrenched with each lousy year that passes. I detest it.
Used to be normal to get days of 6-8C in October but this will be the fifth in the past decade not to drop below 9C as northerlies have become virtually extinct
However only one October I never recorded a sub-10C high and that was 2009 which also featured this horrific mild dross during the final third. 3rd November was the first day to record single figures that year.
The lack of warmth is just as ridiculous. Hasn't reached 15C since the 6th which is pathetic for October especially given it reached 16.5C on 19th November last year, a reading higher than 3 of the past 4 Octobers have managed
Was supposed to reach 16C this week but all we've had is 14C rubbish. Even 16C would be nothing of note for the time of the year given that it's reached 18-19C in late October/early November. Can't get the high temperatures we used to get because the wind just comes endlessly from the S or SE instead of the SW.
The endless mild nothingness and lack of variation is truly soul destroying.
