Absolutely fed up 3rd weekend in a row with wind. When will it end. Need to do stuff outside but can't cause I've had enough of being battered by the wind.

We've been through two named storms but the weather isn't letting up! Lots of rain for the south this weekend but Scotland looks to have the worst combination of gales, lowland rain and highland snow. I've lumped all the wild weather together as the outlook seems to mix all  the  expected experiences up

Gale force winds again - overnight thunderstorm - some wintry showers. Ferries cancelled, both internally and also down to Scrabster in North Scotland. We call it winter.

I feel your pain - crap isn't the word.

Those of us that do a "day job"  rely on usable weather at the weekend.  It's   turbo charged drizzle here this morning  and tomorrow looks s*hit as well

Yes indeed.  But for the last few weeks it's been too wet or windy (or both) to get outside most of the time during the week as well.

I must say that I was surprised by how windy it was yesterday.  I don't remember it featuring much in the forecasts, but maybe that's because it wasn't severe enough to cause major problems.

We had a Winter?  I must have missed it by blinking as it felt like being one long Autumn since it started raining regularly back in September at this end.

STRONG WINDS AGAIN. Bird feeding station dismantled by itself today. All pieces now in shed until winds settle down.

Average winter temperature here at 59 degrees north is 5C.  But the wind chill makes it a bit parky. It’s been a mild winter, but the media hysteria over a high wind is up here known as a three clothes-peg day.

So for the 3rd time this year, roads out of Skipton, Ilkley and Otley (A65 for example) are flooded. Had to go over the moor again to get out! The Yorkshire Dales have serious problems yet again. This is a prolonged event now 😟

Yes yet another weekend distrupted by rainfall. Certainly not going to venture out to the NW of here today.

We only got 13mm yesterday and overnight but the rain over the Dales looked relentless.

Over 150mm here for the month of February , a normally quite dry month is ridicilous in itself. Totals could be over double that  in the Dales.  Bingley looks to have had about 230mm looking roughly at the graphs on Weatheronline.

Yes, Roger Brugge's page has Bingley's total at 235.8mm up to 18z Saturday, almost exactly 3 times the average.

More heavy rain around at the moment. Last night's EA warning had the Severn in Shrewsbury reaching 4.3-4.6 metres on Monday, not far off the peak of 4.85 metres last Tuesday.

Just looked up Roger Brugge's site, interesting info on it.

Bingley now at 252mm. Shap has had a massive 508mm this month.

EA now expecting the Severn to peak in Shrewsbury late Monday at a level above that which was reached last week.

Also may be at a higher level in Worcester than it has been so far in this spell

And sadly at a possible all time high - around 5.44m which would be roughly about 25cm above the 2000 peak. A devastating flood if that occurs.

Where have you heard 5.44 metres? Current forecast is 4.8-5.2 metres on EA website.
