Here, we have returned to that same old borefest which we have had to endure for most of this winter, with virtually nothing which is even remotely interesting in terms of our weather, actually happening.
There has been some patches of blue sky around, but there is also a lot of cloud around and in a complete contrast to what we have seen in recent days, a total of just 18 minutes of sunshine has been recorded for today so far at Edinburgh Gogarbank as at 12 noon.
There has been the very briefest of spells of rain earlier on which wasn't even around for long enough for any of that to even register as actual recorded rainfall at any of my three local stations. Yet, that has been enough now to completely wipe out all of our remaining snow cover (what little of that there was, anyway) from recent days.
The only thing which has really happened is that the wind has picked up a bit more, and was now gusting up to 32.3mph from the SSW at Edinburgh Gogarbank as at 12 noon.
Meanwhile, the temperature at 12 noon was 3.8°C at Edinburgh Gogarbank, 4°C at Edinburgh Airport and 4.7°C at the botanic gardens in Edinburgh.
This means that it isn't even all that cold here for the time of year any more and given the latest model output plus the fact that we are now so late in the winter season, it wouldn't surprise me now if this was us, now having "had" our winter. On that basis, I will just be glad to see the back of it all now, so that I can then look forward to see what Spring has to offer, as well what what the indications might be for the summer.
The north of Edinburgh, usually always missing out on snow events which occur not just within the rest of Scotland or the UK, but also within the rest of Edinburgh.
