Beautiful sunshine and narrow streets of cumulus for the past 2 hours; such a contrast to this morning's dyke-clogging deluge.

Managed a chilly 15C today once the sun got out. It's certainly been a jumper & coat day even in the sun.

What a recovery !

Unbroken sunshine and 11.6c after that 2pm dip to 9.4c in driving rain and a fresh / strong northerly.

The breeze has already fallen light and the washing is on the line. With an RH of 73% its drying quite well.

Its like today's earlier foul weather never happened.

It turned out to be a pleasant day, dry with sunshine and only a light breeze at times, albeit a bit chilly out of the sun. 11.8c

8°C and partly cloudy. It has been a cool but not entirely unpleasant day.

This afternoon and early evening brought some more cloud at times but also some decent sunny spells. In the end, a total of 9.4 hours of sunshine was recorded for today at Edinburgh Gogarbank which makes today, the sunniest day of both this month and this autumn so far.

Today's maximum temperature was 14.0°C at Edinburgh Gogarbank, 13°C at Edinburgh Airport and 14.7°C at the botanic gardens in Edinburgh. Judging by the other comments on this thread as well, it looks as though this might have been one of the warmest places in the whole of the UK today, and that's not an accolade which I would normally expect to see in this part of the world.

Anyway, the temperature is now dropping away now that the Sun has gone down and so, the temperature at 8pm this evening was 10.2°C at Edinburgh Gogarbank, 10°C at Edinburgh Airport and 9.8°C at the botanic gardens in Edinburgh.

The north of Edinburgh, usually always missing out on snow events which occur not just within the rest of Scotland or the UK, but also within the rest of Edinburgh.
