A warm and humid day with a maximum temperature of 23.1c

A mainly cloudy affair with warm bright spells and patchy light rain that has evaporated on contact with the ground.

17.9c now and remaining dry.

Horrible cool and dull at only 14.7C. Still awaiting the rain to arrive which looks like turning this into a washout to emulate Sunday 29th July.

Sun recorder has 0.9 hours logged. Don't know when that was recorded as it's been slate grey hell since I got up but I did have a long lie as couldn't face getting up knowing the conditions I would be facing today.

That said I've been up since 8, out to the shops, and taken the dogs for a nice 4 mile walk through the woods this afternoon. Notable the change in water levels in the near by stream just since Thursday. It's simply been too hot to do that with them most of the summer.

I'd never let the weather spoil my weekend.

Sorry to hear you are leaving the forum John. If it`s any consolation, I read your morning current conditions posts. The only criticism from me is that they are a bit overlong. I understand your "permacast hell"comments as most people I think prefer sunshine to dull cloudy weather.

I wouldn`t let a few adverse comments push me out of the forum, so why don`t you reconsider your decision?

Today`s weather? I was hoping for some heavy showers or thunder late this afternoon or evening as forecast, but no such luck, dry all day again after last night`s rain.
