The month of July 2018 was a warmer than average month overall, a sunnier than average month overall and a drier than average month as this incredibly decent summer goes on. This was particularly true at the beginning of the month when at one point in time, it had looked as though this month could end up being both our driest July on record and our sunniest July on record. However, it has been cloudier, wetter and more unsettled towards the end of the month which meant that in the end, it wasn't as dry and sunny as it had looked as though it would be for a while at the beginning of the month.
The north of Edinburgh, usually always missing out on snow events which occur not just within the rest of Scotland or the UK, but also within the rest of Edinburgh.
