Normal service for this summer has been resumed once again as it is now completely overcast due to that easterly muck which has come in from in of the North Sea (no possible view of the all night twilight this time).
Meanwhile, the temperature at midnight was 12.4ºC at Edinburgh Gogarbank, 12ºC at Edinburgh Airport and 12.4ºC at the botanic gardens in Edinburgh.
Currently at the min temp of 13.0C.

We had thick fog earlier, now misty and dull, 11C. Seems like the murk has covered much of the country this morning, not just the east.

Any high maxes today would be reduced due to no sun rise that start the heating up process.
Horrible Haar here 11 C. Going inland to Peebles away from the coast today

Blazing sunshine and temperature of 20 degrees already at 8am in Belfast City centre. Simply stunning weather for this part of the world

Another crystal clear sunny day in Manchester. A strong smell of smoke in the air however.

Going to be another hot one.
Yet another vile, soul-destroying and depressing start to yet another morning (the only difference this time is that at least, everyone else isn't reporting it to be sunny in their area as they were yesterday at this time) as yet more of this toxic easterly muck coming in from off the North Sea has brought us into yet another overcast and grey nothingness and permacast hell to start the day with nothing in the way of sunshine having been recorded for today so far at Edinburgh Gogarbank as at 8am this morning.
Last night's overnight minimum temperature was 11.4ºC at Edinburgh Gogarbank, 11ºC at Edinburgh Gogarbank and 11.7ºC at the botanic gardens in Edinburgh.
Meanwhile, the temperature at 8am this morning was 12.2ºC at Edinburgh Gogarbank, 12ºC at Edinburgh Gogarbank and 12.0ºC at the botanic gardens in Edinburgh.
Unbroken sunshine again. After a warm night with a low of 15C it`s now 22.0C
The smell of smoke from the Saddleworth Moor fire is really strong.

Rather on the cloudy side, with a moderate nor'easter breeze thus making the current 16.6 C & 80% H feel quite cool and fresh.Starting to see shades of Summer '13 where West is being Best in terms of proper summer weather.

A big improvement in our weather has now taken place since this morning as the Sun is now shining without any of that high cloud which has been around during the last couple of days apart from the odd isolated strand of cirrus.
So far, just 2.6 hours of sunshine have been recorded for today at Edinburgh Gogarbank as at 12 noon due to that overcast start to the day, but the lack of high cloud in this instance should ensure that we get a better sunshine total at the end of today, than what we had yesterday. The temperatures aren't all that bad either when you consider the overcast start which we've had to today, so the temperature at 12 noon was 20.3ºC at Swanton weather station in the south of Edinburgh, 18.6ºC at Edinburgh Gogarbank, 17ºC at Edinburgh Airport and 16.0ºC at the botanic gardens in Edinburgh where it is still quite a bit cooler due to that station's closer proximity to the east coast and that easterly wind which is still around.
