It was dry for a while after my last report on this thread, and 1.1 hours of sunshine was recorded for today at Edinburgh Gogarbank, thanks to some sunny spells during this afternoon.
However, it then got dark again at around 3pm this afternoon with more heavy showers then adding a further 1.0 mm to today's already very high rainfall total at Edinburgh Gogarbank, along with a further 0.4 mm at the botanic gardens in Edinburgh.
It is also still windy and meanwhile, the temperature at 4pm this afternoon was 6.0°C at Edinburgh Gogarbank, 6°C at Edinburgh Airport and 6.5°C at the botanic gardens in Edinburgh.
The north of Edinburgh, usually always missing out on snow events which occur not just within the rest of Scotland or the UK, but also within the rest of Edinburgh.
