Days getting longer chance of snow settling disappearing

Granted, the strengthening noon time sun at that time of the year mean that once the cold air does move on, the thawing process can be quite rapid rather than ice lingering around. But it is also when the sea surface temperatures around the Kent coast tend to be at its coldest.

People claiming that "winter is over" as early as the very beginning of December based on one single model run which doesn't really support any cold weather.

The north of Edinburgh, usually always missing out on snow events which occur not just within the rest of Scotland or the UK, but also within the rest of Edinburgh.
